Bringing Law Firm Experience to Mock Trial Class

In the class, students have the opportunity to learn how to stage a mock trial to resolve a hypothetical dispute. They will develop an understanding of the trial process, the roles of those in the courtroom and their importance to the administration of justice, and the significance of their constitutional protections.

It is the combination of interaction between students and the public nature of mock trial that make it extremely well suited to teaching thinking, speaking, and listening skills.

Recently, members of the Mock Trial class had the chance to experience a live Mock Trial Competition in the Sedgwick County Courthouse! We are excited for our students to compete in the future, and are thankful to have Jasmine and Kimberlyn leading our students.
