In this month’s Faith Academy Family Spotlight, we’re excited to introduce you to the Durham family! Jeremy, an optometrist, and Jennifer, a stay-at-home mom, have three children: Savannah, Leighton, and Charlotte, along with a dog, Keota, and a pet betta fish.
Two of the Durham children currently attend Faith Academy. Eight-year-old Savannah, a third-grader, enjoys piano and dance when she’s not in school, and would like to be a singer when she grows up. Leighton, a five-year-old kindergartener, loves all things sports, especially soccer, basketball, and baseball, and has his eye on becoming a farmer as an adult. When asked what she’d like to be when she grows up, Charlotte, the youngest Durham, says she’d like to be a mom.
“We love being outdoors, playing together as a family and going fishing. We also enjoy vacationing in Colorado,” Jeremy tells us. In addition, the Durhams are avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fans, and enjoy taking in as many of the Cards’ home games as they can.
Jeremy says their family first heard about Faith Academy from another satisfied parent. “A mom whose kids attend the school told Jennifer about it at a MAPS meeting at our church,” Jeremy said. “We checked it out and found it to be everything we could hope for.” The Durhams especially appreciate our faith-based curriculum, the small classes, and the Christ-centered community. “We love Faith Academy and look forward to any opportunity we have to recommend the school to others.”
