Mrs. Deck began teaching at Faith Academy in 2023. She values private Christian schools that provide an academic education along with spiritual training for students. An atmosphere that provides students with a supportive community where they can grow in their faith as they learn life-long skills for their adult lives. She looks forward to the opportunity to be a role model and encourage students to build relationships with one another and with God.

Mrs. Deck has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on early childhood. She has taught for the past 25 years as a public school teacher, homeschool tutor, and homeschool mom.

She and her husband Chris were married in 1995, and they have four children.

Mrs. Deck enjoys drawing, painting, birding, and hiking.

Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 25:4-5, "Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

Mrs. Deck’s ambition is to one day create an outdoor classroom where students can experience creation and the Creator as we discover and explore the outdoors through nature walks, journaling, science experiments, and group projects.

While at Faith Academy, she is eager to create a love for learning and God, encourage curiosity, make space for reflection, provide support, and be a positive role model for students.
