Mrs. Russell began teaching at Faith Academy in 2023. She believes strongly in Christian Classical education and wishes to contribute to building strong Christian character and worldview in students.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and brings 19+ years of teaching experience.

Mrs. Russell grew up in a gospel-singing family. They were known as, "The Melody Minors" in Iowa. Her Uncle/Onkle Mervin was a German professor and she was exposed to the German language growing up.

​

She and her husband, Stan, were married in 2023. They have four adult children between them.

​

Mrs. Russell's hobbies include singing in different languages, reading her Bible in other languages, swimming, and writing days of the week and months of the year in different languages.

​

One of her favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13, which says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

​

Mrs. Russell's ambitions are to be fluent in 5-7 languages and to be certified in Spanish/English interpreting.

​

While at Faith Academy, she is eager to encourage and build up students as the scripture reads in Ephesians 4:29, which says to encourage one another and build each other up. Her heart's desire is for students to enjoy learning.
