Faith Academy Staff Spotlight: Denise Hanson

In this month’s Faculty Spotlight, we’re thrilled to get to know Denise Hanson, our 2nd and 3rd-grade teacher. Now in her second year at Faith Academy, Denise loves the opportunity to teach in a family atmosphere with a Bible-based educational approach.

A passionate and experienced teacher, Denise’s career includes four years working with gifted sixth-graders at Hadley Middle School. Prior to her time at Hadley, she spent over a decade teaching third grade at Enterprise Elementary. In addition, she has taught primary Sunday school since the age of twenty. Denise is a lifelong Wichitan and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, along with ESOL endorsement.

When she’s not at Faith Academy, Denise can be found volunteering at her church, where she sings in the choir and helps publish the Sunday bulletin. She also loves spending time with her family, doing all kinds of puzzles, and traveling. Denise and her mother live together and help care for one another, and she’s also very close to her sister and her family.

Although she’s still fairly new to Faith Academy, Denise says she’s been warmly welcomed into the fold. “I very much appreciate all the love and support I’ve been given since my accident,” she says. “Thank you to all my Faith Academy family!”

We are so grateful to Denise for her ministry to some of our youngest students. We appreciate her time, talent, and dedication, and are thrilled to have her at our school. Thanks so much, Denise!
