Pat Schwarz graduated from a vocational business school in Manhattan, Kansas. She worked at Kansas State University in the Dean of Engineering office. She worked as secretary to the President of Union National Bank in Manhattan before starting their family.

Mrs. Schwarz dedicated 27 years to homeschooling their 6 children and has helped educate her grandchildren. She was a leader of a homeschool co-op for 10 years and taught many classes.

She enjoys the variety that comes with being a substitute teacher.
